Perfect UPS for multiple computers and electronics that need to be up and running in a power failure. Modems, routers, etc. The only unused function of the UPS is the Coax and phone line surge supression. Internet services can't be put thru the surpressor because it reduces the signal to the point of unreliable. This is not a defect, it's the nature of surge supression. I plan on at least a half hour of backup, with the ability to silence the alarm, which gives me time to get generator running.
I use it to keep my internet modem, router and voip boxes up and alive through way to frequent power outages. Nothing's worse than working from home and losing your VPN, remote share and conference call in one blip. I have not had a problem since installing.
Not compatible with windows 8.1 & 10. Sometime the os detect the battery. Most of the time nothing detected. I have tried different usb port and cable. I tried with 2 other computer same problem. The battery itself is really good but if a power drop occur the computer will not shutdown because of a software driver problem... I'm not the only one with that problem. Be aware if you buy it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We use these for our servers and networking equipment -- reliable unit with excellent battery life! Bob in support sucks, though, so luckily the unit is reliable enough that we rarely need to call in.
A good UPS solution for your high powered Workstation. The software needs to be upgraded as it is old and frustrating for some people, but I got it to work adequately under Windows 10.
