These are extremely good book shelf speakers only reason for 2 stars is a capacitor broke in one speaker about 4 years ago when these units were a year old. I probably could have RMA'd them but I didn't want to be without speakers for a couple of weeks. Fortunately I was able to source a very similar capacitor (albeit slightly different) and fixed it myself but still that is absolutely not something I expected out of Klipsch. If they want to make it right feel free, but as stands I would maybe think about buying from another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

R-51M is the perfect small bookshelf speaker. Reaching high and low tones. Highly recommend if working with a budget.

Started out with Sony speakers. A friend suggested Klipsch. Before all was said and done I returned all the Sony speakers and now own Klipsch. Beautiful sound quality!

They sound much better than their size or cost would suggest.

Very balanced sound. In a large room, its amazing how much punch (base) these speakers are able to produce
