Stunning sound for the money

Just stunning sound for very little money. Forget or throw away a sound bar. Buy a 5.1 or 7.2 reciever and build an awesome system over time. Klipsch are famous for their dynamics. Like being in a live concert. Got forte II'S for 28 years. Upgraded crossovers and titanium tweeters. Gonna die before I ever sell them. My wife will leave me if I sell my klipsch speakers. She loves music to.
For years I'd been playing the Game of Sound; going from 2.1 to 4.1 to 7.1 and was even looking beyond that. Then two things happened; I was introduced to a tiny, pack-of-cards sized stereo amplifier and I moved. With the move i decided to make a change. Away went the 7.1 amplifier. I got a nice small Fosi amp, with left right and sub out.; left right and bluetooth in. I have a Sony speaker set up with 5 speakers and sub. but I decided to go full old school. I am familiar with Klipsh from years back. The bands used Voice of the Theatre. Now I have room-filling sound from my old vinyl albums. And could not be happier.
I have my R-51M speakers set up as rear surround speakers, and they work extremely well in this application. They're paired with an R-52C center speaker, and some thirty year old Forte main speakers. The entire system can produce house-rattling amounts of sound that is clear and very dynamic. Just amazing!
Pros: Clean, crisp sound, Efficient speaker that produces great sound.
These are Very Well Made. I recommend when testing the Sound Quality, To play Guns n Roses "November Rain" Extended Version. The Accustics are Amazing. The Bass blew Me Away. When testing, Check for Yourselves. You'll see what I mean. And on a 2nd Note: The R-41SA are just as Amazing. But Klipsch wouldn't post my Original 5 Star Review. But they posted My other review that I still mentioned the Dolby Atmos Speakers are 5 Star Speakers. The Klipsch R-51M really Compliment My Dolby Atmos Speakers. Highly Recommend any Klipsch Speakers. I recommend playing them for around 20 Hours to Break them In. That's why you'll see the Wires in My image below. Was only Testing them out, and Breaking them in. Bottom line. Klipsch is Second to None.
I bought these specifically because they are a good match to my hearing aids. Hearing loss is about -45 to -60 dB, depending on ear and frequency. More loss in mids and highs. I need lots of mid and high frequency information presented to me at reasonably low volumes. These speakers are being used in a very acoustically "dead" library full of books, approx 12 square meters. "Dead" rooms are better for my hearing aids. Prevents ringing and noise cancelling. Actually being used as true bookshelf speakers. Great for human voice, acoustic guitar, and jazz standards. Being powered by PS Audio Sprout 100 amplifier. Amazing combination. These speakers are bringing back the joy of listening to music again, which I thought it was lost for good. I can't give a better rave than that.
Ok, on to the review... I hooked my pair of R-51M speakers up to the SVS SoundBase 300w amplifier using 12 ga speaker cable with pins. I am running two SVS PB-1000 subs with the SVS Isolation Feet, need to clarify that, so I have a bit of bass in my little room. I have always hated the sound of Klipsch speakers, bear with me... The horns, 10 minutes and my ears were bleeding. I never liked THAT sound... But, I kept seeing YouTube videos saying that these R-51M speakers no longer suffer from this issue, and they were on sale! I bought them, figuring what the heck. Take a walk on the dark side and see what all of the buzz is about... I really like these little speakers. The Klipsch harshness is not there. I threw a bunch of stuff at these too, using Tidal HiFi via BT off the iPhone. I played Dean Martin, Led Zeppelin, Sade, Steven Stills, ACDC and a few others. I was really impressed to say the least, they sounded darn near close to my SVS Ultra Bookshelves. And I pounded these speakers, cranked them up to eye bleeding sound, they never missed a beat. The SVS amp is 150w per channel, and these little guys just screamed more! Truly impressed to say the least. The ugly, which was honestly not that bad, ugly is the wrong word. The midrange was a bit thin, and sometimes, and very subtle, a bit muddy at reference levels. But who listens to music like that? I can for a bit, but not for that long, and I was pounding these little guys. These are some amazing little speakers, so much so, I think I may just pick up the center channel and see what that sounds like compared to the SVS system I currently have... Talk about a ball breaker... LOL! Pull the trigger, you will like these, vocals were crisp and clear, none of the harshness that I have experienced in the past, just smooth, velvety sound. Bass, it was there, but I would suggest a sub to get the most out of these guys, which is obvious if you want BOOM BOOM. And the more power, the better.
I have these at the front left and right and rear left and right of my living room. The clarity is amazing. Music and movies are enjoyed like never before!
I have heard good things about these speakers and I bought them on a recommendation without listening to them. I wanted a solid home theater experience without breaking the bank. They absolutely deliver for that purpose. I paired them with center channel R-52c and they provide clear support and rich sounds for home theater. Make no mistake, you will need a subwoofer as these speakers do not provide serviceable lows. My space is an open concept living room 15'x25' with wood flooring. Where it falls a little short is on music. They are still good, but more what you expect for smaller budget speakers. Not disappointing, but not exceptional either. Build quality is in line with what you'd expect from Klipsch. Lastly, they look absolutely fantastic.
