An excellent small speaker for most music; rock and roll, rhythm & blues, Country music. Although a pair of these Klipsch R-51Ms cannot reach deep, and deeper bass, they can still send most of the range of notes from the above music. The stereo sound is truly three dimensional when these Klipsch speakers are placed correctly. I bought these Klipsch speakers because my Sony Receiver has a power of 85 Watts min. Therefore, a pair of R-51s are ideal for this Sony STR-DH520 Receiver (2012); for me, anyway. Furthermore, the Klipsch R-51M speakers have a forward, assertive sound, the characteristic of the famous, established brand of Klipsch known for a true sound that reproduces the most, and best of musical choice. If lower bass is required then I'd purchase a Klipsch subwoofer, with 10 inch diameter woofer.
Pros: Clear, detailed, and a three dimensional sound., Forward sound, tight, low bass for small speaker
Cons: 1 nut not correctly tightened, almost stripped.

These speakers are small but truly perform exceptionally well, well above the price I paid. I like all kinds of music. I have tried these with anything from Arch Enemy to Andre Rieu and I have been amazed with anything I have thrown at them.. I am using them through a Marantz pm7200 which generally isn't a very punchy amp but these bring it to life. In my opinion they actually don't have a coloured sound as many say. They are true to the source. Other speakers I have had previously which cost easily four times as much aren't as quick to react, don't have as much airy sound and definition especially in the higher frequencies. Female vocals are stunning. Other speakers I have had have more dull and boomy characteristics in comparison. I like that there are huge amounts of dynamics with ANY music. It has been a pleasure to listen to music again. They sound fantastic at any volume very low or at high levels. They suit smaller / mid size rooms and can easily fill a room even at low volumes. I do skype calls with my partner a lot and she has never sounded clearer. I used to be frustrated (a lot) with previous speakers that I couldn't make her voice out. Now it sounds like she is right there in perfect clarity. We have both noticed that immediately and she is thankful I bought these! They are directional and have a beautiful sweet spot as well as brilliant stereo separation but you can also hear the sound in other rooms of the home where with previous speakers i could only hear the voice clearly in front of the speakers. That to me is a massive plus. When I first hooked these up I put one expensive speaker 4 times the cost on the left and one of these on the right. The Right channel was easily twice as loud and had more clarity which was instant to hear. I could not be more impressed and when I move to be with my partner I will be purchasing a large set of Klipsch. I don't endorse products ever but these are just plain fantastic.

Very Nice Speakers!

I am currently using these speakers with my Denon X2600H receiver and they sound very clean! They are perched on my speaker stands for the rear surround and the sound coming out of them is excellent.
Pros: Great Sound, High quality, Looks good

This is my first set of Klipsch speakers, And I love them! they sound great! I use them as surround speakers for my Yamaha RX-A880 7.2 AV Receiver setup what a difference these speakers brought to my system. I listen to my music more often the sound and clarity are awesome no matter what you listen to.This was a Christmas gift from the Wife.

I understand that its primarily used as a standalone audio system for tv or pc but not being able to connect these speakers to any dac or sorts is really a lackluster

Great sound out of such small speakers

I use the 51M's for rear speakers, the 34C for a center and 4 really old reconditioned Advents for mains. I wish I could afford to finish out the set with Klipsh towers and subwoofer someday. The sound is incredible for classical and choral music. So clean and pure. It sounds like the instruments are in my living room or I am in the middle of a concert hall with the surround a clean as can be.
Pros: Amazing sound for such small speakers
Cons: None that i have found yet.

I have these up in my loft, connect to a nice compact 25 watt stereo amp. Love putting on some old vinyl and just kicking back and listening. I reall yhave no complaints nor problems with the product. Very well pleased with my purchase.
Pros: clean clear crisp highs; solid bass
Cons: Tough to find anything wrong with this product.
