When I turned on the amp I was immediately satisfied that I made the right choice. They sound so good I turned off my sound bar and use them straight up..P.S. Not my first Klipsh product. I started with a pair of Cornwallis back in 1979…
Completes my Klipsch sound system as rear channels. Product arrived undamaged and is well-constructed. Good-looking speakers. They sound great in my surround setup and compliment the other Klipsch speakers very well.
The time between my Klipsch KG4.2's purchase and these are nearly 30 years now. I can tell you in near field listening these speakers sound exactly like my Large Front KG Speakers in tone & balance. You don't need a lot of volume to enjoy these speakers. These are small speakers, but they definitely pack a punch with 80-100 wpc driving them. I had these playing in a separate system than my KG's and I played them simultaneously with same radio station and I was astonished at the sound quality and exact tone and balance as my oversized fronts. I then hooked them up to a 5.1 surround setup with the KG's and they blend perfectly....absolutely seemless separation between fronts and rear. It kind of blew my mind that these little speakers are basically a smaller version of my 30 year old speakers. That may sound weird to you....it just shows you how good KG's are still today and were for their time. My source for the test was a high powered Yamaha.... it did not lack bass and the horn was incredible definitely not overpowering. If you like the Klipsch Sound you will like these for a moderately sized listening room. Proper placement and height is paramount. Excellent quality & value at this price point. It's truly a nice little speaker. I have 12 pairs of speakers....some of what I have aquired over the years have become the standard and legendary for their class. I put these I that group...the future will tell.
I bought a pair a couple month's ago and with my 100 watt powered sub they rock. I did add two center channel speakers for added presence while watching a movie. Not sure if it helped or not but regardless the Klipsch rock out!
