Great phone, except...!

Camera is incredible and the processor is super fast. My only complaint is that the Google Message app is now permanently installed and can't be removed. I've had the app lock up a couple of times. One time my entire screen was black for a couple of hours except for a thin line of light near the volume buttons. Normally I'd uninstall and reinstall the app and see if that fixed it. My only option was to uninstall the updates and try again. Hoping this fixed the issue.
