Best & lightest tent we've ever had!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent was really easy to set up. My husband and I put it up together in just a few minutes but I could've easily done it alone. It’s definitely a cozy fit for two, but for hiking trips, that’s exactly what we wanted, a lightweight, compact, and easy to carry tent. It's also versatile enough to be used for solo hikes with it being smaller too. We kept it up for 10 days through rain and strong winds, and it held up great. I set it up on a super windy day and learned it helps to put a camping bag inside ASAP to weigh it down while staking it because it actually almost went flying with how windy it was. The side vents are a game-changer for airflow too and my husband won’t stop raving about them. Honestly, this is the best tent we’ve used for backpacking and our outdoor loving dog seems to like it too.

Amazing for multi day campgrounds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this tent. It is incredibly easy to make, although I needed help from someone else to secure the poles. I’m not sure it’s doable on your own. It’s incredibly spacious. I would honestly say that 4 could fit in this tent pretty comfortably, but I haven’t tested this. What I will say is that for those doing any multi day backpacking trip, I do not recommend this tent. There are lighter tents on the market, but this is the best tent I’ve tried for setting up camp for multiple days in one spot. I will definitely be using this for all my future national parks trips where we have a campground for multiple days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a nice tent and I cannot get over how it folds down to this small box! It is just so easy to pack in your car and barely takes up space! This was easy to put up and slept three people comfortably. The material seems like i will withstand rain really well too! This is just a great tent!

Coleman Peak1 Tent – Reliable and Sturdy for Outdo
on March 23, 2025
Posted by: autumng03_8298
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently got my hands on the Coleman Peak1 tent, and after using it on a weekend camping trip, I’m pretty impressed. Setting it up was straightforward — it took me about 10–15 minutes solo, which is great for a tent of this size. The aluminum poles feel durable, and the overall structure seems well-engineered to handle tough weather. It’s not too heavy either, I’d say perfect weight for a backpacking tent and it’s very compact in the case making it easy for travel because it doesn’t take up too much space.
One of the standout features for me was the WeatherTec Plus system. We had some pretty strong winds one night, and this tent held up without any issues. The waterproof fabric kept everything dry, and I really appreciated the tub-like floor that prevented water from seeping in. It’s obvious this tent was designed with rough conditions in mind.
The Star View Window is a nice touch. It unzips from the inside, giving you a clear view of the sky — perfect for stargazing on clear nights. It also helps with airflow, so I didn’t wake up feeling stuffy. The two wide doors and vestibules make it easy to store gear and move in and out without disturbing anyone else.
Overall, the 5-year limited warranty also adds peace of mind, and I can see myself using this tent for years to come.

Compact and sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great compact size and so easy to take along! It’s also not too heavy. Feels strong and durable does feel like it’s gonna blow away when the wind blows. Pretty decently sized considering how much it compacts down. No leaks apparent and the tent doesn’t feel like it’s going to rip easily either.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to set up and take down everything by myself. The tent itself is spacious and packs down nicely. I will have to see how it stands against wind and rain

Easy to assemble and to break down. Packs small an

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Weather has been terrible here so I was only able to test out in the backyard, unfortunately. Everything looked and felt really well made and solid. I was actually really surprised how lightweight and small it all packs down to. I have another similar tent by another brand that is definitely heavier. I assembled first in the garage, and everything was pretty straightforward. I like that there are attached instructions so I can't lose them. I took everything down and repacked it, just for the practice. Then I went and assembled it in the backyard between storms. I was able to get it up pretty quick even in the rain. I ended up leaving it set up in the yard for a half day in windy and very rainy conditions, and when I went to check it out, it was still nice and dry inside. I got played everything out to dry in the garage for a while, then easily got it all packed up again, no problem. I have had tents that were really a pain to repack, but this one seems like it will be much better. It is also light enough that I can use it for solo trip as well as for 2 people. I will probably still go back to my slightly larger 2 man tent for when we also have the dog with us, just for a little extra leg room.
