Outlets in wrong direction

The outlets are arranged in a way that when using a power pack it will cover two to three outlets making them useless.

I use it on top of an end table; this makes it handicap accessable. We can sit on the couch or at a near by desk. I plug both the Fire Department laptop and my personal laptop. Many times we have to plug and unplug and there is no bending or reaching under furniture.
