It is a great scanner for the price. You don't need anotherAC Adapter to use this scanner. The USB-A to C cable provided with the scanner powers the scanner. Also, comes with a nifty stand if space is an issue. It can be placed vertically on the stand, as well. The scans are pretty decent. You need to download the software from Canon to use it. Overall, not a bad scanner.
Won't scan at more than 1200dpi with provided software. The scanning process creates halos on the image making the process pointless. It will scan low quality documents well enough and is small and portable. A regular all in one printer scanner is better and multi use.
The only complaint is that it is slow. Very slow, 30 seconds for a 8x11, 600dpi scan. Other than this the scanner is good, quality of the scan is good and the peice is good.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this scanner to scan digital images of all my daughter's artwork! This scanner is easy to use and works great! It captures wonderful scans of my daughters artwork, so I can enjoy digital images of it for years to come without having piles and piles of crafts to store!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I got this to digitize my documents (previous tax forms, medical documents, etc.). It does a pretty good job. PDF docs go up to 400dpi. The photos are also pretty good and those go up to 600dpi. I have managed to scan in all of my photos which is great in terms of not having to lug around a bunch of photo albums! You can also scan multiple photos at once and it saves them individually, so long as there is some space around each to let the scanner know they're unique. All in all a good deal for the price.
