I have 4 of this model of Triplite strips. No longer have extension cords all around our TV's etc. Plus we feel safer in the event of a power surge.

Should I Hope for a Power Surge?

Since Tripp Lite provides the $20K insurance policy? At the moment, I have a (pricey) alkaline water filter connected to it in the kitchen on a circuit that was having trouble because of a short circuit in the outlet. I recently installed this item with some difficulty because there was not template that I could find. I'm using it intermittently for kitchen appliances with no problems. I guess the real feature is the peace of mind in case something does go wrong.

This has been doing what it needs to do ever since I bought it. Not sure what else to say. Has there ever been a power surge? I have no idea. But I have no complaints with this product, so if you need a power strip with surge protection at a good price, this is it.
