Self stick notes--do they stick?

Used on a laminated calendar for menu planning. Each note has a possible dinner menu for that particular day. Notes rotate on calendar based upon changing needs of family. Stickiness of product decreases dramatically after first time it is used so that if the family moves the note because they are changing their dinner selection the note doesn't stick well to it's new position in the calendar. And if it's moved a third time it doesn't stick at all. At this point I think I will try the brand name product and see if there is a difference in the glue.
