Spectacular Sound - Power On Feature Deficit

I just received a RallyBar XL today. I was very impressed with the quality of the component. I plugged it into a 12vdc power supply and easily paired my phone. The sound is phenomenal and the bass is solid and present. For most, I would doubt you will desire a stand alone subwoofer if we are talking SXS or Golf Cart. The LEDs are a plus and just add to the overall experience. But again, the sound is where its at with this beast and it does not disappoint. Sadly I am sending it back. I knew this might be a challenge to mount on a golf cart, given the supplied mounting options are really geared towards mounting on the round tube most SXSs have. I have an ICON EV golf cart and due to the rear roof supports it makes mounting ANY sound bar a challenge behind or above your head. While this was certainly a struggle, I know I would make some custom brackets and get it mounted without issue. But then the show stopper, for me. I have an AuxBeam switch panel. I want my SoundBar to come on when I switch its power on with my AuxBeam. Even thought the RallyBar has a ON/OFF switch on the side, even if you leave this switch on... when you apply power, the sound bar does not turn on, it stays in Deep Standby/Sleep mode until you reach up and press the power button on the bottom of it. I read the entire manual and can find no solution. It would be different if it had a RF remote or something where you could quickly turn it on, but why put an ON/OFF switch on the side of it, if you still need to hit the power button the control panel to wake it up/turn it on???? Again for many this might not even be an issue, but for me this is a huge deal and a sad oversight on JBL's part. I don't know maybe they could change this with a firmware update, but I am guessing they will not make a significant firmware change for one guy. Now I have to figure out what to try next, I had an ECOXGEAR bar, it sounded like a tinny hot mess and the JBL just walks all over it (it at least turned on with the power application).

Great speaker, but dropped the ball!!

Bought this soundbar and installed in SxS back seat facing forward. Product is good quality and great sound for what it is. Love the speaker. But when it comes to the most simple act of turning it on, not only is there a rocker power switch to power the unit on. But you also have to push a second power button everytime you want to turn it on. It would have been nice to simply have controlled by a single rocker switch, so the speaker can be turned on but accessory key power. Quite redundant to have 2 power buttons if say so.

I bought this speaker a week ago. I am very disappointed in the bass performance. My JBL boombox 2 sounds way better

Great Sound but remote power issues

Just installed the Rallybar 35XL speaker, great sound. Problem is I have a rocker power switch to turn the unit on/off and leave the side power switch on the unit in the on position. When I turn the power rocker switch on I must also climb in the back seat and push the lighted power button to turn the unit on and out of sleep mode. What a nuisance this is. Is there a remote control available to turn the unit on without having to push the power button on the speaker? This appears to be a common complaint among your user base and you need to figure something out please.

Awesome sound bar

I purchased this to install on my golf cart to get away from using my jbl boombox. I have had the wet sounds and ecoxgear sound bars and they both sound anemic without the addition of a subwoofer. This jbl doesn’t need a subwoofer to give full sound and bass, highly impressed with it.

Great Sound bar, but....

I just got the Rallybar XL a week ago hooked power to it to try it out and I will say that I was nothing but amazed by how good this thing sounded. I give the sound quality 5 stars. I installed it on my new side X side. It took a bit to figure it out as the instructions are very lacking. Several included items had no instructions what they were for, but I was able to figure it out eventually. Instructions I will give 1 star. Now for my biggest complaint. When listening, the audio will occasionally drop out. Not sure what is causing this but it is very annoying. I have several other Bluetooth devices and this is the only one that does this. Seems to be worse when the SXS is off or at idle. I have done voltage checks and when off I get 12.5 volts and 14.9 when running both at idle and at speed. I had bought an exogear but took it back because of it's poor sound. I love the great sound the Rallybar XL has, but it has a problem. It also would be nice if it had a FM tuner built in.

We appreciate your feedback. We're here to help. Bluetooth, in a perfect environment, will perform well for up to 30 feet. However, walls, obstacles, and other wireless devices can impede that 30-foot range. If it works well at 10 feet or less, it is likely that there is something interfering with your wireless Bluetooth signal, causing these dropouts. Another possibility is that sometimes a Bluetooth connection can become corrupt. Please forget/unpair the speaker on your device and perform manual pairing. If this doesn’t solve the issue. Try to connect the speaker to a different device to see if it fixes the problem.
If the issue is still not resolved, the last thing to try is a reset.
