2nd time purchasing this one rattles like junk

This one by far is extremely noisy the side panels rattle and the pump is so much louder
Did we get a lemon this time?

Broke after 6 months

I’m only giving it 3 stars because it worked great while it worked. We cleaned it regularly and made sure proper filters were installed. It only lasted us about 6 months before it fell apart from the inside out. I feel like it was put together by a 5 year old. I’m still trying to get a replacement but it’s difficult to get ahold of the right person. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that we didn’t just throw away several hundred dollars.

Horrible noise!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this in the box and finally decided to hook it up. I love this type of ice but this machine makes this horribly loud squealing noise randomly. It awful!!! I plan to call the company to see what can be done.

A ton of work

We'd like to help out with the sounds you are noticing with your Opal. Hearing a squeaking or screeching sound can indicate that the unit is running a defrost cycle. This happens when ice starts to build up around the mechanisms. I got my icemaker and it doesnt even work. It has flooded my whole kitchen and I have been notified by GE that they will not be replacing my new appliance. Bad choice! I have photos and vidoes

Love the ice don’t love the noise!

Love the ice it makes the only issue is that it now makes a knocking sound & other load sound when it is starting to make ice. This is our second machine, the 1st one just stopped working after having it just over 1 year & now this acting up too.
