Better than expected

I just used this for the second time this for the second time. Today I used it for 45 minutes pretty solid trimming a large juniper tree as I was lifted in the bucket of a backhoe. I and the backhoe operator was blown away at how fast it cut, how long it lasted and easy it was to use. I only used my Husky Rancher on one Large branch used the Dewalt on all the rest. I still had 1 bar and half left after cutting pretty solid for 45 min. I was sold, and going to get one more battery and the chain saw now. It was supper nice not to have to pull start a saw every time i needed to talk to the operator of the backhoe.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best tool ever

This is by far one of my favorite yard tools. Make trimming the trees a breeze and the hedge trimming attachment is the best. You to take me hours to trim the hedges now may be 30 minutes and does a better job. Uses very little power and easy to handle. DeWalt keep making great tools!!

Cheap plastic, doesn't compare to 20v pole saw

First thing you'll notice is that this attachment doesn't look anything like a dewalt tool. That's because it isn't. This is a trimmerplus pole saw with a dewalt sticker. I looked at both in person and they are the exact same tool. This thing is mostly all plastic, even the main body housing and branch hook. I returned it and bought a different brand with a metal housing and branch hook. You have to remove three fasteners with two different tools to remove the side cover to clean it. The 20v has tool less removal. I hope dewalt eventually makes their own unit that compares to their 20v pole saw. This thing is a major downgrade.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor design and quality!!

Bought the 60V max combo trimmer/blower and also the pole chainsaw attachment a year ago. Used the pole saw attachment the first time this spring. The drive gear shaft in the gearbox broke on the 3rd cut. Poor quality, durability. The saw kicked and bounced when I started cutting and broke the drive gear shaft. Very disappointed!! Trimmer works ok, not very powerful. I feel it's ok for low to moderate use. Compared to a gas trimmer, dosen't even come close. I think power is lost through the cable drive shaft to the head unit. Also the balance is bad for trimming. The battery and motor are located on the back side, behind the two handle locations.
