Doesn’t last…

We bought this microwave about a year ago and now it’s starting to act up where it won’t warm any food. You put a couple minutes on full power and food is ice cold. You have to keep repeating this process until it finally decides to heat food. Guessing the magnetron is defective but no way are we going to get assistance in getting it fixed or replaced. So in the trash it goes and we’ll start over with a better brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi! Thank you for your review! We’re sorry to hear of your less than satisfactory experience and hope you will accept our sincerest apologies. Please note that products purchased new from authorized retailers come with a manufacturer’s warranty. If your product displays an error code, try unplugging it for 10 minutes and then plugging it back in to reset it. If the issue persists, we recommend seeking professional assistance from one of our authorized service centers.

Inept implementation of the child safety lock
on March 25, 2025

Returned this. The child safety lock feature implementation on this unit is the height of idiocy. We live in the Pacific Northwest and often experience short term outage. The child safety lock disabling resets back to enabled after each such outage. Even Whirlpool got this right and remembers the setting after an outage.
We have no children living in the house anymore so this is super aggravating. We have used Panasonic microwaves for over 20 years but sadly we won't anymore. After returning this to the store we just ordered a Sharp.

Hello, we deeply appreciate that you took the time to provide us with your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the frustration caused by the child safety lock feature. We understand how inconvenient it can be, especially when it resets after a power outage. Please note that the door lock function can be turned off by pressing Defrost, then Timer, and then Popcorn within 10 seconds. We’re sorry to hear that this issue led to your decision to return the microwave, and we truly value your long-time support of Panasonic. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we hope this helps if you choose to give Panasonic another try in the future.
