It's good, but problems arise over time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are pretty good earbuds ; I bought them shortly after they hit the market. They have unique, innovative features and excellent audio quality, but after just over a year of use, the microphones aren't working very well. They have great noise-cancellation capabilities, but that has started to fail over time; the microphones don't activate during calls when there is no background noise, which is a problem. I'm waiting for a trade-in option to swap them for the new ones.

Slight Downgrade from Galaxy Buds2 Pro
on June 10, 2026
Posted by: DingoSkarr
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The design is quite appealing, and I particularly appreciate the integrated lights, which make them easier to locate when dropped, especially in dimly lit environments. The active noise cancellation is exceptional, and both the ambient sound and adaptive noise cancellation features are excellent. I also find it convenient that I can wear just one earbud and still utilize the ambient sound function.
However, I have rated them three stars due to an issue with their fit; they consistently slip out of my ears, regardless of the size of rubber buds I use. When listening to music, the sound quality appears to be a downgrade from the Buds2 Pro. Furthermore, during phone calls with the Buds2 Pro, I could speak almost in a whisper and still be heard clearly by the other person. Given my living situation, it's often necessary to speak at a very low volume, particularly late at night. With the Buds3 Pro, I find myself needing to speak at a volume that would likely prompt a request to lower my voice in a public library for the other person to hear me.
Despite these considerations, the battery life is commendable, and I am quite pleased with the elegant design.

It's Great But...
on June 11, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These earbuds have phenomenal audio quality, spectacular ambient audio amplification (I'm someone with auditory processing issues to I sometimes have to put one in to actually hear someone better), and insane noise cancelation.
My complaints are a little more specific than what most people would be upset about. There's a weird smell that comes from the case and the silicone ear-nub things. It constantly smells like burnt hair and I couldn't even tell you why. At first I thought it was because it was malfunctioning or something. But no, it just smells like that all the time. Another thing I'm not particularly satisfied with is those earbud replacements. They don't really have enough adequate sizes to fit in my ear properly, which is a bummer because I'm someone that unfortunately has to deal with a lot of "being in-between sizes" for A LOT of things out there, and these earbuds sadly are not an exception. It does affect the experience for me because I always fear that my earbuds are just going to outright pop out of my ears.
The audio quality still rules and the functions for up and down volume are honestly so much better compared to past earbud versions (I used to have the Galaxy Buds 1 and 2, I hated the double tap functions because it wouldn't always detect it).

Work well, until it wouldn't charge.

I liked these earbuds and they worked well and I liked the features, hence the three stars, until the left stopped charging. I was going to just upgrade to the Pro 4 bud the website indicated that that my device was still under warranty. So, in good faith, I decided to send them in. Once they were received and inspected they indicated that they were no longer under warranty due to "fluid damage" inside of the cradle. I worked for Harman, a Samsung company for over a decade and this device is rated IP57, which is "brief water immersion". It never should have been able to have been damaged by whatever fluid accumulated in the cradle if it was actually designed and tested to IP57 standards. I don't think they should claim that a product is water resistant if it isn't.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really really wanted to love them..

I caved and bought these especially excited about the "live translation" feature because I work in the medical field with a large Hispanic population and thought this would be a good way to enhance my patient care. I feel like this feature is super falsely advertised. It is not live or real time. It is basically google translate, but then it reads the translation aloud in your buds AFTER it already translates it on your phone when the person is done speaking. Plus Samsung's translation app gets translations wrong frequently enough that I don't dare use it medically so I don't miss important information. So that was unfortunate and defeated the whole point in getting them. Here are the pros and cons I have been dealing with.
Pros:
- They do sound great! The noise cancelation is great too
- The bass for a pair of buds is fairly good quality
- The ambient sound is good
- They have a fairly good batter life (assuming that the case actually charges them)
Cons:
- There are some weird alignment issues with the charging points of contact at the bottom of the case so the buds will sometimes not charge when you put them back in the case (has happened to me 4 times in the last week). I have to wiggle them around for the point of contact to make contact
- triangular stems are a pain because you have to really take time to orient them to fit back into their case
- The bulgy plastic kills my ears after extended use no matter how I've oriented them.
- I've had them just fall out of my ears randomly. I attribute this largely to the bulgy plastic and stems causing them to come lose as you look up and down and move your head. I don't dare lean my head over anything like a sink or balcony because I don't trust them to stay in my ears
- You have to pinch surprisingly hard to use the pinch feature with is a pain if you are doing something active such as working out and need your hands for stabilization or working.
- The adaptive sound mode needs work. It's basically ambient mode at all times until it gets loud. I'd rather it be noise canceling until someone talks to me then go to ambient.
Overall I've been heavily debating returning them because I just don't think I should have to convince myself that I love them when the crucial functionality issues in the cons (such as comfort, charging, functionality) are outweighing the less important functionality issues in the pros. Plus I can't imagine wrecking my ears with the bulgy plastic for the next couple years. Now that I have written down my honest review, I think I am going to return them.

Hi there Cameron, we appreciate you taking time out of your day to share your thoughts about your Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro with us. We completely understand how valuable your earbuds are to you every day, and we would love to help you have the best experience possible with your earbuds. We have provided links to an article to help you with the placement, and another to a video to help you change the ear tips to a size that best aligns to your ears. We also recommend doing a fit test in the Samsung Wearables App. If you are finding the adaptive sound to not be to your liking, we recommend enabling the ANC setting and turning on the conversational awareness setting. This will allow you to use the ANC the majority of the time but will lower the volume of your media and enable ambient sound when you are speaking. We have also provided a link to the full device manual to help you discover voice controls that can help you in the times that the pinch setting is not as functional with your activities. We have lastly provided a link to the Samsung Support Team if you hae additional questions or would like one on one assistance with your Samsung products. Thank you for being a Samsung customer. -Elizabeth

Terrible

hese are the worst earbuds in the entire series! I’m absolutely disappointed that I ordered them. They don’t stay in my ears at all – constantly falling out, making them impossible to use properly. The ergonomics (if you can even call it that) are just terrible. If I could, I would return these and get the Buds 2 Pro again because it’s impossible to comfortably listen to music or do anything active with these. Really regret this purchase.

If I can, I will return them

Doesn't feel like a Samsung product, looks a lot like the competition air pods. I always like Samsung products. My Galaxy buds 2 Pro are way better than this ones. Buds 2 Pro stay inside your ears and don't come off. Buds 3 like the air pods by walking already start to come off. That why I always like Samsung product because they stays inside your ear drums. But this Buds 3 pro is the worst product I have bought from Samsung so far. I new buds 3 pro i have been using them seen I got them like a mount ago and still go back to my buds 2 pro after a few minutes I have them on my ear because they start coming out of my ear drum every time I used them. Plus the bud2 pro did came with different ear pieces to replace in case one don't fit right you have the chance to adjust it to you preference. But this new buds 3 doesn't give you that chance, I don't know if Samsung sell the ear pieces replacement separately. Sound quality maybe a bit clear from the previous but not by much, volume wise I prefer the buds2 pro because doesn't come out of your ears and maybe you fill like the volume is better on the buds 2 pro. I don't like the experiences I been having with this new product from Samsung. Is the first time I'm disappointed with their product. If I could I will return it.
