Great controller

First time Xbox user but find this controller great to use. Easy to hold, textured surface on back side let’s you keep a good grip while playing games. Only shortfall is that it should come with a rechargeable battery pack. Bought that separately and works great. Highly recommend.

Really cheaply made

I have been an xbox gamer for over 15 years now and have always loved the feeling and durability of their controllers. I upgraded to the series x last year and have gone through 7 controllers in a year. I am very careful with my controls, never dropping or smashing them. Each and everyone one of them has gotten severe stick drift making the controller unusable. What bugs me the most is that i really find the series x/s controllers to be very comfortable to hold and the buttons very smooth. I am now back to using my 6 year old xbox one controller that still has no problems to this day.
Point of this review being. This product will fail on you and its more worth it to by an xbox one remote or a third party series x/s remote

Durability Issues - Warranty too short

It comes with 3 months of warranty but my controller started having issues after 5 and it was unusable after 8. To be clear, I'm not hard on my controllers and I don't play that much (couple of times a week).
Stick drift has been a major problem for me as well as needing a hard reboot of the console every 5th time I change the batteries.
I would keep an old XBOX One controller on hand. Glad I did.

Got one of these included with my Xbox Series X and the right trigger was sticking. Tried getting warranty and I could have had it replaced by Microsoft but they state that they could send you a refurb controller as a replacement. I decided not to send it. Problem persisted with the controller so I decided to open it and fix it myself. Turns out the foam piece designed to cushion the trigger was missing but the adhesive from it was there causing the trigger to stick. POOR BUILD QUALITY. I cleaned the adhesive with rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip and the issue was resolved. But now the trigger is noisy.
This is a common issue if you research online and it goes back to the Xbox one controllers too.
Disappointed in Microsoft for knowing about this problem and continuing to produce poor quality controllers and charging a premium price.

not bad but no rechargeable battery

bought this just for pc gaming because don't want to mess up my ps5 using dualsense,
for this price it doesn't come with rechargeable batteries, it come with 2 cheap China batteries, 30mins of play drain 50%, I don't know how well other brand will last, I think have to change every few hours of play..Great 2020 design :), dualsense is better in every way

It keeps dropping the bluetooth connection off and on, over and over again. Not sure if its a Firmware issue, works great when connected to USB
