Better than expected!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These speakers beat my expectations from the moment I unpacked them. I did not expect the faux suede to be so nice. After opening them, I wished I had gotten them in terracotta. The set up was super easy and pretty painless. The firmware update did take a bit, but that may have just been my internet. The sound is fantastic and brings another depth to my music. I can't wait to get these hooked to my turn table, but I need to redo my setup before that happens. Overall, great experience just listening to Spotify on them in the meantime. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

Minimalist look, massive sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're on the fence about switching from a soundbar to a proper pair of speakers, just do it. The SC-CX700 is a total game-changer. Right away, you can tell they're high-quality by how heavy and solid they feel.
Setup took maybe two minutes tops, literally worked right out of the box. I plugged them into my TV to replace my old setup, and it was seamless. They look sleek and minimalist, but they are incredibly loud and feature-packed.
The app is simple to use, Chromecast works perfectly, and I look forward to trying out the Tidal integration soon.
My friends have already pointed them out asking if they're just basic speakers, but their jaw drops the second I turn the volume up.
Love that it comes out of the box as a pair, and sub port on the back is a great bonus if I ever want to add more bass later.
Easily the first audiophile purchase I can completely justify.

Great Sound and Easy Setup

I chose the black SC-CX700 speakers because they fit our home perfectly, and I really like their elegant design and premium materials. Setting them up was quick and very straightforward. The app is easy to use, automatically detects the room, and adjusts the sound for the best listening experience. It also comes with a remote, but I find myself using the app most of the time because everything is simple and works well. We use these speakers every day for music and TV. My husband is a professional violinist, and he was genuinely impressed with how natural and balanced they sound when playing along with recorded accompaniment. They have quickly become our favorite speakers, and we are very happy with them.

2 speakers like an orchestra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been a fan of technics old standing and bookshelf speakers and even have an old pair in my basement but these days wireless is the rage and I wanted portability. What I wasn't expecting when I first listened to these is a soundstage rivaling my 5.1 system. The packaging was sufficient and protected the speakers well. I was glad to see the wireless speaker is pre-paired with the main speaker and then I got the app on my phone. I had a little trouble on my android pairing since the instructions were a bit confusing. I initally was trying google home to cast to the speakers but I found the app to build a better stronger connection. The firmware update took over half an hour but after that I was blown away at how 2 little speakers can create such a LARGE soundstage. Sitting right in the middle, it felt like I had multiple speakers playing to me and even today it feels like magic. I don't know what tuning technology the sound engineers did but they did an awesome job. The finish I really like the grey felt type material and the neutral color contrasts very well with my black finish klipsch tower speakers. I have these technics hooked up to the technics new highend record player and I think together they're a killer combo. Overall I highly recommend these with how plug-and-play they are with the power and instant connection. I haven't even tried to pair the 2 speakers with cables since I don't feel the need to. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are, without question, the nicest speakers I’ve ever owned, so take that for what it’s worth. For the record, I am not an audiophile. I don’t have a background with high-end audio gear, but the difference compared to anything I’ve owned before was immediately obvious. The sound is incredibly rich, and I keep noticing little things in songs that I’ve never picked up on before! The bass is deep… everything just sounds so full and effortless. I bought the Terracotta (orange/brown) version, and the photos really don’t do them justice. They look stunning in my house next to my honey oak colored furniture. They’re much prettier in person and have a warm, classy look. Setup was surprisingly easy, and I love that. I did download the app and “Space Tune” (The room optimization feature) took everything to a new level. They’re definitely an investment, but all good things are, right? What a mighty little pair of speakers!

I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion and replaced my old Dynaudio Focus 10 speakers with Technics SC-CX700. I really care for great sound, so moving away from Dynaudio was a tough choice. However, I wanted to try an active setup with streaming capabilities, yet without losing the high-fidelity sound. After reading professional reviews I decided to give these a chance - I only had positive experience with my Technics earbuds and turntable. From an audiophile perspective, the sonic performance is stellar. Technics creates a massive, dense soundstage that extends far beyond the physical boundaries of the compact cabinets - it almost defies laws of physics. What surprised me most is the lower frequencies behavior for such small speakers - the bass is beautifully punchy yet textured. I use the speakers with my old subwoofer, but to be honest, you don’t really need to have one (I turn it on mostly for action movies). Also, since the port is in front, I didn't have to place them far from the wall. Highs and middles are handled with absolute precision, offering a highly organized, yet pleasingly warm acoustic profile. I must acknowledge, the transition to a fully active, streaming option has been a massive quality-of-life upgrade. Tidal’s lossless music sounds absolutely fantastic. I also want to comment on the Space Tune room correction – the result was very noticeable in my room, and I don’t have to buy another license to do it to achieve the same result. My only minor critique is with the app – I’d rate it 4 out of 5. But then, considering the great sound I’m getting from these speakers, I’m totally ok with it, and I’m sure they will continue improving the app anyway. Overall, Technics has built an incredibly complete, sure-footed performer. If you want to downsize your physical clutter while maintaining hi-fi sound, the SC-CX700 is highly recommended. Really, an amazing product – similar performance from Dynaudio or KEF will cost you way more!
P.S. Oh, and the finish is absolutely amazing – unlike traditional wooden speakers, these look totally next level!

Great Bluetooth Speakers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was totally surprise by these blue tooth speakers and how easy they were to setup. once I set up it was time to listen to what they would sound like, that's where the fun began. I stated with music from my phone then a stream and then the turntable. the sound was clear and smooth and filled the room. for bookshelf speakers if you didn't see them you would not know they were. They carry incredible sound and the sound quality is outstanding. I'm thinking how else they can be used in other rooms and the yard. I'm looking forward to where i can place these speakers and have that sound quality throughout the house. Just might need another set.
