Am very satisfied with these headphones. The noise cancelling isn't perfect, but the build and sound quality for how much these cost can't be competed with. Would buy them again.
I was going to say great value, but regardless of price, these are great headphones. Comfortable, sound good, and have good noise isolation. The active noise cancelling takes care of eliminating the lower end frequencies. My wife and I use these just to muffle the sound when we vacuum - they are great hearing protectors as a second use. The only problem I have had is with bluetooth - don't know if the earphones or the bluetooth transmitter is at fault, but I get stuttering when using these with my TV. The stuttering is greatly reduced when I get within 10 feet of the TV, but at 20 feet it is definitely there. May have to find another transmitter to check this out.
I'm embarrassed to say I do have a pair of Bose noise cancelling but don't like throwing around a $300 pair of headphones in a back pack after traveling; so I bought these as a road warrior workhouse pair. The noise cancelling technology is really hard to believe. I find myself flipping the noise cancelling switch to hear the difference and it's remarkable the difference of the harsh background noise that gets filter without having to drown it out with volume. The sound quality is great. I was concerned they would distort but they don't, even after turning up the bass. The older I get, the more I'm reminded that expensive electronics have a relatively short life-not just by technology changing so quickly-but all these electronics that have an internal, rechargeable battery fail after a few years; and have only so many times you can recharge them-if you've bought some Apple products, you know what I mean. So for $39 I can treat myself every other year without the fear of having to ante up $300 every 3-4 years.
