My old ones would ultimately burn the food as it had one temperature, burn.I also enjoythe remove able plates for cleaning as well as a not stick coating. It has been one of my best purchases this past year .Using this panini press makes cooking a treat.

I does best with a dry bread (buttered bread is not recommended), my teens are making way more yummy sandwiches and experimenting with new ingredients, they are asking for things like spinach, artichokes, different cheeses, roasted peppers and other ingredients that they have enjoyed at restaurants, but now making themselves at home! So thankful for this product.
