Really nice hood for a great price. Will look great with new stainless appliances, if they ever arrive! Ha! Hood looks great and big upgrade from the white builders grade hood!

Installed very easily. Either use jacks or have a helper. Pulls most of the smoke and steam up and through. Works much better than what I had before which was a range hood incorporated into the bottom of a microwave. Various speed control is confusing because all three sound exactly the same. Purchased the optional charcoal filter but do not understand why it obnoxious uses one when there are two vent screens.
I would recommend this to a friend!

UC-B018 was a great purpose for my dad!

My dad had been adamant about not changing his 20 year old, dirty stove hood. When I shared him the link to the Hauslane UC-B018, he immediately changed his mind. We ordered it. It was easy to install. My dad is super low-tech and okay vision. It has been super easy for him to learn how to use and maintain it. It even inspired him to clean up the grease stains on his stove because he has new motivations- thanks to the Hauslane UC-B018- to keep it clean. Thanks!

Good vent hood overall with two issues

The vent hood is of great quality overall - seems well-made and installation was easy.
One issue is that I have the integrated LED light and it is not very bright - about equivalent to the LOW setting on my old vent hood. Also, it seems there is only one setting, which I don't understand either.
Secondly, the blower is not balanced, so I can't use the high setting. I am going to try to balance it and see if that helps

this is louder than i’d hoped but not a big bother. looks great. sleek design. took a bit of finangling to get it hooked up. power cord access hole right-of-center threw me a curve. power cable securing bracket is cheap and welded only on one side. again, nit picking.

I recently purchased and installed a Hauslane UC-B018, and I am very happy with the purchase. I was able to successfully install the unit with only average difficulty. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to upgrade their existing unit. If you don't have the electrical and ductwork in place, and you are not the handy type, then I would not recommend this as a do-it-yourself project. Even with those things in place, I did face some challenges, but the unit is in and working as advertised.
