Running speed tests the Wi-Fi speeds are twice what the router the ISP provided and that is without using MLO. One wired device that never performed as well as other wired devices improved speed wise. It resolved a network issue I had and could never find, as it allowed me to set a local domain name, that was different from what the ISP Router set. It has many features which makes for a more complex setup than the old tri band router (not an Asus router). I like the fact you can choose secure DNS sources such as Quad9, verse the ISP DNS. It’s plugged into 10 gbe ports and is having no issues running at 10 gbe (Cat5E cables about 8 meters long).

I just upgraded my home Mesh network from a Zen WI-FI ET 12 system to the Zen WI-FI Bq 16 Pro. Everything went well—almost flawlessly to get the new system up and running. I used the transfer settings option and it did a great job of transferring all the settings for the new routers. The only omission was the VPN settings. I will have to set that up manually, everything else transferred. I had also upgraded to CAT 6 cabling and 10g switches, so I have seen at least a doubling of realized speed to the internet, using Starlink. I am really surprised (and happy) about that. I am now averaging between 200-350 Gb/s speeds, depending on network saturation.
One other item that might be mentioned in your documentation—while traveling with the ET 12 system, my home network experienced a power outage that outlasted my UPSs’ duration. When the system came back, it no longer had an internet connection and I lost contact with my security systems and cameras. A simple reboot when we got home returned the system. As a result, I set the BQ 16 system to perform scheduled reboots every few days. Hopefully, if the situation arises again, the system would power up after an outage, maybe without internet, due to the glitch. A scheduled reboot should then return it to service. We’ll see. When it rebooted last night, it left a solid red LED light, indicating no internet connection. When I tested things, everything was normal in the diagnostics, internet was on and getting about 350 Gb/s download, and the other two mesh routers showed normal white LEDs. After spending about an hour trying to find a cause for the red LED, I turned off the LED indicator and turned it back on (in the router software), and it returned to a white normal indication. I suppose a persistent offline indication could be intentional to inform you the reboot has been accomplished, but if that is the case, it should be covered in the documentation or help files.
Overall, I am really happy with this product.

I thought my old Rapture had some amazing range... This new Zen unit looks so much cleaner and where the old Rapture unit would drop off, the range on this unit keeps on going. I can walk outside and away from the house without having Wi-Fi call drops as it attempts to switch to the horrible cell connection in my area.
I am also getting the peace of mind from the extra protection without going to great lengths to get it. I love all the security features and that's exactly why I purchased this so I could give my slightly older Rapture unit to my parents. I want them to have the same level of protection from all the current chaos, post AI going to the public.
