Very good machine for at-home rowing. Assembly went okay; just be sure to closely follow the instructions step by step. Would give it 5 stars; however, it does heat up at about the 20-minute mark at the higher resistance levels, which is a little less time than what I'd like. But, overall, a really nice rower!

This rowing machine has lived up to the reviews I have read. It's a very nice machine for the money and gives a good workout that simulates actual rowing more than strap and T-handle style rowing machines. I also appreciate the compact size. I have limited space for the equipment, so the fact that it stands up easily and is only 3' wide x 5' tall x 18" deep for storage is a plus. (Storage size may be reduced to 22" wide but that would involve removing two threaded knobs after each use.)
The biggest complaint I've seen in reviews is that the foot rests and straps are less than ideally designed and I have to agree. My feet kept slipping out of the rests no matter how I worked with the straps. My final solution was to attach adhesive-backed Velcro to the bottom of an old pair of sneakers and then the hook side of the Velcro to the foot rests. The shoes are now a more-or-less permanent part of the machine. I use a shoe horn to slip into them before I row and it's been a very effective workaround for the poor foot rest design problem.
With the foot rest issue solved I'm very happy with the machine and workout experience.

Great Rowing Machine

I ordered a rowing machine and started using it as soon as I received it. Prior to ordering, I did some research and eventually settled on Stamina's item. The price was great, but also the fact this is the only rower with a rowing motion similar to the actual sport.
I love it! It's everything I need. The only thing missing is a more elaborate display monitor, but it's understandable due to the price. Frankly, the information provide on this monitor is sufficient to plan your exercise.
When I put the machine together, I noticed the piston was leaking oil. I contacted customer service and spoke to a lady on the phone, explaining the problem.
A few days later, I received a new piston at no charge.
Customer service followed up on my issue, and were pleasant an professional.
Highly recommended.
