I bought this 3 weeks ago, and started using it immediately. I use it 6 days/week, 25 - 30 min/day. I am an active, 56 yr old woman who hikes every morning, and wanted to build my upper body strength. This BodyTrac is doing the job. I noticed a difference in 1 week. My pecs, biceps, back, and over all upper body strength are steadily and noticeably increasing. You do need to have extra straps around the ankles to keep your feet in place, and a cushion for your backside helps! I love this thing, tremendous value for the money.

The value is certainly here. Great rower for the price. I'm relatively new to rowing, just had a baby and wanted to get something to use when I had time through out the day. Since I wasn't sure if I would stick with it, I started with the inexpensive to see if it was worth it. It's been great. It is a little creaky but that doesn't bother me. I have narrow feet, sized 8.5 and the foot cradles are fine and the oar like feature/motion is awesome. If I could find one negative it would be that the display doesn't note distance rowed.

This is a great machine and I look forward to being able to use it. The only shortcoming, and this is apparent in many earlier reviews, is that the heel is not high enough to keep your feet from slipping off. This could likely be remedied by a second strap the hold your foot into the heel. Other than that, it comes almost fully assembled, and the assembly is easy to complete using the tools provided with the machine. It can be stored vertically, with or without the arms being folded to get them out of the way.

Great arm workout- much better than a pulley rope - but does nothing for my legs. I wish you could adjust the tension for legs as well, or that you could raise the seat even higher for more intense workout.

I bought this rower to help me with my New Year's resolution of losing weight. I have used it for 2 weeks and I'm still trying to condition myself to do more than 100 strokes. This is a great workout!! I like the real rowing motion and the wide seat. I thought the seat was going to be uncomfortable but it's not. The seat glides smoothly on the track, I was impressed. Some people have mentioned having trouble keeping their feet in the straps, but I have had no problem. The instructions mentioned there were no batteries included for the display but mine had the batteries. If you want a good cardio workout and a workout for your abs and legs this is it!!

just bought this and the machine performs wonderfully. it works so many of the muscle groups. the seat is molded plastic and has no padding. for those of us with not much behind it is quite hard and painful after ten minutes. cannot seem to find a cushion for the seat. caution on the seat, it is the weakness of the machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!
