I have owned this glider for probably 8 years and use it consistently. I replaced the piston within the first year due to leaking fluid but other than that I has been problem free. I love this glider, it is very effective targeting arms, shoulders, back, and abs. It's an effective cardio work out, more than I expected it to be. I would definitely recommend this glider.
When contacting customer care, they are very helpful. The replacement piston was very affordable and arrived within a few days of ordering.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rower does the job well; but has 3 minor "bugs" as follows:
1) The "pedal straps" are too stiff, too wide and too heavily velcroed; and yet don't hold the feet well? My feet tend to slip off the pedals no matter how tight I cinch the straps.
2) The pivoting foot pedals need a higher heel cup flange to help prevent foot slippage off the pedals (see point-1).
3) The center beam and/or seat rollers have some sort of "flat-spots" that cause a minor popping sound & vibration during use. This is only a minor nuisance.

I am very happy with this product. I have been working out on it about 5x a week for the last six weeks. It is sturdy and smooth. It was squeaking a little, but I sprayed a little WD-40 and that handled it nicely. I would recommend this product! And the convenience of the storage is amazing. My friend couldn't believe how compact it becomes when not in use. If you are interested in a rower, I think this one is great!

I bought this 3 weeks ago, and started using it immediately. I use it 6 days/week, 25 - 30 min/day. I am an active, 56 yr old woman who hikes every morning, and wanted to build my upper body strength. This BodyTrac is doing the job. I noticed a difference in 1 week. My pecs, biceps, back, and over all upper body strength are steadily and noticeably increasing. You do need to have extra straps around the ankles to keep your feet in place, and a cushion for your backside helps! I love this thing, tremendous value for the money.

The value is certainly here. Great rower for the price. I'm relatively new to rowing, just had a baby and wanted to get something to use when I had time through out the day. Since I wasn't sure if I would stick with it, I started with the inexpensive to see if it was worth it. It's been great. It is a little creaky but that doesn't bother me. I have narrow feet, sized 8.5 and the foot cradles are fine and the oar like feature/motion is awesome. If I could find one negative it would be that the display doesn't note distance rowed.

This is a great machine and I look forward to being able to use it. The only shortcoming, and this is apparent in many earlier reviews, is that the heel is not high enough to keep your feet from slipping off. This could likely be remedied by a second strap the hold your foot into the heel. Other than that, it comes almost fully assembled, and the assembly is easy to complete using the tools provided with the machine. It can be stored vertically, with or without the arms being folded to get them out of the way.
