It's a well-designed keyboard for both Macs and PCs, And even mobile phones with three assignable Bluetooth connections. Good, variable backlighting, and nice tactile key feel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm a huge fan and longtime user of MX Keys and MX Mechanical keyboards. I heard good things about this keyboard, and I've been curious about hot-swappable mechanical keyboards in general. On a whim, I decided to try it out, and if I didn't like it, I could either return it or gift it to someone. I was enthralled by how it feels and sounds. This keyboard gives the MX Mechanical a run for its money. Just about the only thing it lacks is the proximity sensor to automatically turn on the backlight when your approach it.
I still prefer the lower profile of the MX Mechanical and Mechanical Mini as I find the higher profile of the Alto Keys to be awkward, but when I get in the flow, this keyboard is delightful.
One thing I dislike is how the keycaps are designed with respect to the shine-through parts. I use a Mac, and only the top half of the legends are shine-through. That means I see the default Windows legends and can barely read the macOS legends. I think the entire legend should have been transparent. It shows a bit of bias on the designers' behalf.
I hope in the future, updates to the MX Mechanical borrow from the Alto Keys.
