A fine istrument

I am very pleased with this receiver, and I plan to give a few as family gifts. The sound is excellent. I listen only to non-commerical radio, including classical music on WQXR, jazz on WBGO, and news / public affairs on WNYC. On all three stations, the sound is quite good. I plan to purchase another one for my office.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome Sound, Beautifully Simple

The finish on the "box" is simple. I may apply some tung oil to it, or other clearcoat. The radio is a marvel of simplicity. I love the "damped" dial, the old fashioned look, and of course, the great sound (from a single speaker).

We love the radio. We got the black with silver dials. The cord and antenna it came with were white, which we thought looked funny so we replaced them with black.

Liked it so much I ordered one more to my sister in California. Hated to pay for CA sales tax.Not as good as the "original" KLH Model One Radio of the 60's.

This unit is compact, looks sharp and works incredibly well for us. It fit on the mantle where it's out of the way but still visible enough that we get the occasional compliment on it. The sound fills the room with no problem -- we were honestly pretty surprised at how loud and clear FM radio comes through. We're very happy with this one.

I bought this radio because I read it would pull in weak FM signals and there was a particular station I could get in my car but not in my house. I now get it loud and clear and the sound quality is excellent. I am happy. I am in bluegrass heaven. :-)

a quality radio, with great looks, reception is excellent on am, a lack of a lot of needless features made this radio appealing to me, on, off, volume control, am/fm, station dial, fantastic
