Great product, came earlier than expected ! It blends well in my kitchen, as I have a log home and did not want an odd looking radio that was noticed. Exactly as looked in ad, great quality of sound and easy to operate.

I really like this radio. Worth the money. It will last longer than you will, and your heirs will fight over it - a good standard to apply to any purchase.

Sensitivity

Let me be very clear about why I purchased this radio. It was to replace my old Radio Shack "Realistic" radio that I had been using for many years in a remote location with an external high gain FM antenna. I thought the new Tivoli would give me a much better quality audio that the old radio. I was very disappointed with the Tivoli after installing it. Its sensitivity was terrible. It only received one of the five stations I had been receiving with my old radio, and the quality of that station was bad because of weak signal noise. The Tivoli received a lot of good press about its quality, but it just didn't measure up in the sensitivity department! It would probably be fine in a big city close to several stations.

A device with a split personality

I received the Model One yesterday and agree with those reviewers who find the radio section a bit bass-heavy and poor on speech. My favorite FM station streams its programming, so I ran a short cable from my laptop's audio out to the Model One's aux in. The difference is remarkable--like a mask has been ripped away. Sound balance is highly improved, and there is actually some 'air' around the treble. Voices are not bass-heavy. This is now the unit it should be, and I doubt I'll use it any other way. Tivoli says that the FM circuit uses discrete parts, but it sounds to me like an inexpensive receiver on a single chip. Try this workaround.
