I bought this radio to use as a receiver for XM radio in my bedroom. It is perfect and I had no trouble using the FM to bring in very good sound for XM music and talk. It is easy to use with its uncomplicated dials, and looks interestingly retro on my table! I am very happy with my purchase.
This radio is great. Just got new counter tops and appliances in our kitchen and this radio matches perfectly. The sound is great and the size is just big enough to look nice but not take up too much room.
I love the simplicity of this radio. Sometime digital is a pain to use. The sound is great. I have trouble hearing TV and cannot believe how clear the sound is. It is small and does not take up a lot of room but big on sound. Did I mention I like the sound? Love it!
I needed a desk top radio. I did not need tons of features. The Model One gave me exactly what I wanted: excellent sound, fine tuning control, and compact design. At my desk I do not need a concert, just company during late hour estimating and I always want good company. The Model One eclipses my wife's Bose Wave in tonal quality. And it looks as pure as it sounds. When I want an orchestral immersion, I go to my stereo system. When I want to work, Tivoli is my accompaniment. Great product done old school.
I was disappointed with this radio. Not only is it not loud, but it's very difficult to tune a station. Worst, the "Aux" position is on the far right of the input selector, so turning it "off" required passing through FM and AM, which were always much louder than the aux setting. I'd have to turn the volume all the way down so I could turn it off. The Sangean is half the money, tunes perfectly, and is much louder.
It is substantial in construction, but small in size. Great sound and great retro look! Great radio for the kitchen. The ability to hook up a phone to listen to internet radio also a big plus.
Excellent sound quality for a small radio. I've got it located in a tough spot and it does well bringing in the Local and some distant FM stations. AM reception isn't as strong. Picks up the stronger local stations, but reception is weak on distant AM stations.
