At this price, it shouldn't hum!!!

Admittedly I'm VERY picky, but at this price point, this radio should be SILENT when there's no music playing. But no, there's a very faint but noticeable hum both on the FM and the AUX settings. And yes, I tried it in different outlets and positions. Too bad, because the audio from this little box is quite remarkable. Returned for a refund...wasn't willing to try another one.

Another Classic from Henry Kloss

Like an earlier design from KLH (Model 21, also designed by Henry Kloss), this is a compact radio that delivers impressive sound! The analog design is a nostalgic touch of earlier times before digital tuning and menus were the norm. Unlike the KLH Model 21, the Tivoli Model One covers both FM and AM bands, and provides an auxiliary input for external sources (e.g. CD & MP3 players). It does not provide bass/treble controls, but these are hardly missed.One minor fault... the tuning dial is slightly offset from the actual FM/AM frequencies. Looks like a mis-adjustment off the tuning knob.Overall, a great set for its size and price!

Poor sound quality, cheap plastic dials

I feel like the only person who doesn't like this radio. Maybe the product has changed recently, because the one I got had really poor sound quality. Also, the face of the radio looked very cheap up close--cheap plastic dials.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tivoli's Little Radio is Best

This very simple to use and has a great sound. I put a Seiko alarm clock on top of it. So, together, they make a great clock radio!!

Great sound in a small package

This is a great radio. I own 2 of them. One has the alarm clock feature which I wake up to every day. The other is just the radio. For its size it really puts out some great sound. No, they don't sound as good as a giant stereo, but they do fill a room with good music. I like the feature for being able to plug in my iPod if I don't like what's on the radio.
I would recommend this to a friend!
