Love it! Tremendous sound, and like the apple products easy and fun to use. Could say enough about it. Reception is as good as it gets too.

Replaces the TV as a background constant

Being that my home has a fabulous multi-function living room just off the kitchen, there is usually some background media playing. Before buying this wonderful, space saving radio, the default was Television of some kind. This radio is perfect for a constant flow of background music, information and a comforting tone. You can plug in an MP3 player or media device as well. It's attractive, easy to use, functional and its sound is superior to plastic radios. It's really not built for playing music at high volume levels, but for moderate to low volume levels, it's perfect.

It shouldn't be so hard to find just a table radio these days. But this one does have good sound and reception.

An Excellent Table Radiio

It is not fancy, but is high tech and has an attractive wooden cabinet. The controls are simple. I like that the radio can pull in distant and near stations with ease. The analog tuner has extra fine tuning and a light glows bright amber when you are tuned right on the station. When you listen to this high tech radio, it is hard to believe that it is mono and not stereo because the sound is so brilliant.

Seems like a good radio and I hope it will last.I expected a bit better FM reception, and am trying to determine how to run a longer antenna.I was looking for a few more features and wish it had a USB plug. and presets.I don't miss the Stero at allIt is interesting they thought to incorporate the on/off switch into the FM/Am/Aux knob rather than the Volume.It is a good radio and I would recommend it.jt

We bought this radio because it would fit in our kitchen and we had heard glowing reviews from others. It has met our expectations. Wonderful sound for such s small box.

disappointing

I assumed I would love the Tivoli Model One. It had been recommended to me by a broadcast engineer. I drooled over the Tivolis for about five years before finally deciding to buy one.I'm disappointed because it makes human voices sound BOOMY. I listen to a lot of public affairs programming, so I was disappointed.It would be nice if there were a TONE nob so that you could adjust the bass, but you can't. The radio sounds much better when you listen to music. It's otherwise a pleasure to use.I have a GE Superadio and an RCA Superadio and I prefer them. Too bad. I wanted to love the Tivoli.

The reception is quite good though I would have liked to adjust the bass.Appearance and compactness is rather quite appealing
