Wonderful sound.

You can't beat a Tivoli! I've put this one in the hallway and have it tuned to the same station as the Bose is tuned to in my living room. Thus, I have stereo sound. Listen to classical music throughout the day.

My husband likes for talk radio

Bought for my husband for Christmas. He loves it and uses it for talk radio all the time. We did find when using it indoors it works better next to the window - must have to do with the antenna.

At first I couldn't get reliable reception using the wire antenna included with the radio. When I tried it with a Liger antenna it worked much better. I know I live in a area with poor reception-zip 08876. The radio has such a rich sound i love it when I can get reception.

A very nice little radio to replace my old Panasonic RF 888 in the kitchen. Ironically, my wife and I both had the very same idea a Christmas presents for each other!! We kept the one I'd purchased with the nice wood finish and my sister-in-law purchased the black one for their kitchen. My radio DIDN"T come with the extendable antenna like the black one did. I should call and have one sent to me. Very ice sond in a very convenient package!

This radio looks great and the tuning function works very well, better than many other radios I have had. It can pick up some faint stations even without the external antenna and the tuning nob had a great feel to it. However, the sound quality is a big disappointment. Even given that it is a mono speaker system, the sound seems muddier than it should be. I have an older 70's mono clock radio, that has better dynamic range than this model.

We love this radio. The built in antenna pulls in stations easily and cleanly inside the house. No external antenna is needed in our location. The tone is great and speech is crisp and clear. Podcasts through the iPod Mini sound fabulous as well. It's a solid little unit which is quite nice looking - a bit modern and a bit retro. The controls couldn't be any easier to use and have a high quality feel to them. The compact size is a plus as we often move it about the house as we're working. The only thing we wish it had is DC to be more portable. It seems like there would be room for that inside the case.

I received the radio yesterday. I give it two stars because it looks good and is the size we wanted for a radio in our living room where we listen to NPR. The radio was unable to pick up our local station with out a distorting sound in the background. Did not want to invest in an external AM antenna. I think it should have come with the unit as the FM antenna is. Disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
