So Happy With My Tivoli!

I love my Tivoli radio! Listening to music stations on this radio is wonderful. Had some concerns upon reading reviews indicating that its tone quality of a heavy degree of base could be a problem when listening to conversation. Much to my happiness, the base component in the sound enhances the richness of music and I found it easy to adapt to when listening to talk radio.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Decided to pay the extra buck for this well-reviewed radio. After plugging it in, I wondered what was wrong with the reviewers' hearing. I wasn't expecting the same full tone I get from my Boston Acoustic speakers, but man, it was lame. The top end and mid range sound was thin and tinny, and there was very little bass. I returned it, and am looking further for a good table radio. May have to go vintage because I suspect small radios are not a priority these days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Seems perfect for what it is - a well-made fully manual radio with terrific sound. I have two now. I think other people have complained that the tuner stops working after a while, but I've been using our first one every day for over a year and have had no problem. I just leave it on CBC Radio One, though. It would be nice if there were presets you could flip to (like on a car radio), but that's not really a big deal for us. I've bought other small radios in recent years and they're all utter crap by comparison - they have bad sound and drift out of tune, and usually have tons of static that changes depending on where you're standing.
I would recommend this to a friend!
