Nice case. Fair sound. Antenna is difficult to maintain frequency without noise interference.

I knowingly purchased a discontinued item because I loved the color. The radio works well, but the face plate slides out of the wooden box.

My 100 yeo Aunt has this radio and I have always admired the clarity. I had to have one too! Excellent for listening to classical and jazz!

Decent, but not perfect

Looks great, sounds decent, and feels solid. The only complaint I have is that when listening to the radio, it will sometimes suddenly start "humming". If I quickly turn it off and then back on again, it goes away, but the humming sometimes comes back 10-15 minutes later. This has happened since new, and doesn't happen all the time, so I don't know what to make of it. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the radio itself, or if there is something in my home which is causing radio interference. Based on my hunch, I think it's the radio, though... It's not particularly troublesome, as I don't think my wife can even notice it when it happens, but I can. Otherwise, it's quite expensive for what you get, but ultimately you are paying a surcharge for cool design. That's just the way it goes.
