Superb sound on both FM and AM. Internal antennas pick up all the stations to which I like to listen. Excellent build quality and layout of controls.

Don't get caught up in the HYPE over this radio. Sound quality is "mediocre", not"audiophile" quality.... as touted. The AM reception is TERRIBLE! The manual tuning dial is "vague" and a pain in the butt to control. I WOULD NOT buy again. Feel like I was "duped" by the hype that's "all over the net" about this brand, and this (particular) radio, could have purchased a "low end" table radio, for a third of the price, and it would have sounded (almost) as good!BUYER BEWARE! GOOD, BIT FAR FROM GREAT! DON'T BUY INTO ALL THE HYPE,

Surprisingly Good Reception

I got this radio today and have been fooling around with it. In a few minutes I found a jazz station which I didn't know existed in this area. It turned out to be KFMO-LP, 98.1, with an effective radiated power of 3 watts! The sound quality is very good, and the tuning dial is quite accurate for an analog tuner. The vernier tuning is smooth and the tuning indicator light zeros you in on a station accurately. This is with the internal antenna, with an external antenna I expect it would be better, and with a real antenna on a high mast, I bet you could receive very distant stations. On AM, my area is rather noisy, but I can still easily pick up all the major and some minor local stations. Highly recommended.Late addition: Playing audio from my iMac through the AUX input on the Model One is a revelation. Give it a shot, it makes watching movies on the computer a lot more acceptable.

I bought this to use on my kitchen counter and it's compact design works great and takes up only a small amount of space. The sound is good. I am happy with my purchase tho I thought it was a little pricey.

Crisp,clear sound. Great bass. Very fine tuning knob, picks up alot of stations without an antenna connected. Very pleased with the quality of sound considering its so small.
