The tuner on this model is really not acceptable. A chat with the company revealed a known issue with the damping fluid inside the mechanism which, if not exercised regularly, results in stations being difficult to tune, and the station drifting out of tune (into noise) over a few minutes (!) of operation. The solution, turning the dial back and forth throughout its range for several minutes, works, but the problem returns after a few days. I really was surprised that this radio could not stay locked on a station as it warmed up.
It’s a good radio. Looks and sounds good. The only issue is that it doesn’t recognize multiple channels for the same radio station like your car stereo. I like 101.1 Channel 2. I can only get 101.1. A radio at this price point should at least have these options a car radio does in my opinion. I’m not talking satellite radio just FM radio.
Expensive nice looking radio but the quality....not so much. Have had the radio for a while and the tuner seems to be not operating correctly. When you come to the end of the band, it feels like the tuner keeps turning and you don't know where you are with the stations. Not pleased with paying quite a bit for the radio and having it not perform up to par. Also, the AM side of the radio does not perform well. It does not pick up stations without having two of them playing at the same time. Would not purchase again.
Very basic, but of VERY NICE design quality and function. Reception better than expected, and AUX input useful. Don't look for deluxe features (i.e. remote or timer). This is basic in function but superior in looks and sound. Yes, I recommend.
