I just purchased a green works string trimmer to replace my current gas powered one. I’m very excited to try it. Been very pleased with the quality so far of Green works products.

Decent trimmer, poor battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trimmer is very slow to ramp up (takes 3-4 seconds to get to usable speed), but once there it's nice and powerful and trims well. Main complaint is battery. I have a pair of the 2.5AH batteries, advertised as giving up to 50 minutes use each. I'm lucky if I can get 10 minutes of continuous trimming before they are out of energy and need a 45 minute recharge. I don't know where the 50-minutes comes from; maybe walking around doing little touch-up trims? It is certainly not 50 minutes of continuous use cutting grass! Mind you, these aren't heavily used batteries near the end of their life; I've got maybe a half dozen charges on each.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You’d think in 2025 for the top of the line tool you could find a QR code to shoot to register. But NOOoooopp!’ You have to get your magnifying glass out to read then type in the thousand digit* serial number and model. *exaggeration

String Does Not Work

The sting is impossible to load, never feeds out by itself and breaks off too fast when I feed it out manually. I bought it because I like the mower and wanted to match charging types. I HATE THIS TOOL!!!! Stay away.

Easy to use

I also have a 80volt blower, 21 inch mower and your 18 inch chainsaw. My customers love that I use battery powered tools. I love that I don’t have to carry around gasoline. I love that your tools are so much quieter and have less vibration. I highly recommend them every chance I get. I am just a single older woman with a small business, but I love your tools. The trimmer did well at speed lower than my old gas trimmer. iI had plenty of power to cut the tougher weeds, and was a lot quieter than my gas trimmer. Bump feed head worked as expected.
