Battery too high

Hard to manipulate. Needs to have battery weight lower to ground with front wheel to support cut and ease of use. Look at corded heavy duty edgers and put battery by ground and remove cord.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great concept poor execution!

I bought this Stick Edger to replace a 20 year old gas edger but it’s not the tool it could have been. First the good; It’s well balanced and not too heavy so it’s easy to handle. It uses the same 80 volt pro batteries as my mower. It has plenty of power and battery life. Now the bad; The worst thing is the 8” blade means that to get the maximum cutting depth of 1-1/2” you will have to be dragging the drive unit. Next the depth adjustment is for what, if it isn’t maxed out the blade depth is inadequate. Lastly, I’m 6 feet tall and the handle is about 2” too short so I have to stoop over to use it. GREEN WORKS this would be a great tool with a little redesign, #1 Lengthen the shaft 2-3”. #2 Switch from the 8” to a 12” blade. You guys make one like that and I will be your first customer!

Not very flexible. Difficult on winding edges, could use stabilizing wheels for maneuverability. With battery pack its heavy but manageable.

As a new home owner, I was not sure whether I can take care of lawn edge precisely but with greenworks edger, I have mastered the art of lawn edges. I have 1 acre corner circular plot with walkway and I can easily manage using single battery.

This thing has way more power than my gas unit did. It does not bog down at all so I was able to move as fast as I can walk. Balanced very well and much less noise. In my book it a win, win win!!!
Pros: Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Powerful

Works great! I edged front sidewalk, approach sidewalk, driveway, basketball slab and back porch. still had 3/4 battery left. No more gas, no more oil and no more 'Dad can you help me start the edger?'.

This thing is a joy to use. Just as much power as a gas edger attachment, much less noisy. It is a massive upgrade over the electric one that I was using. Edging was a chore I hated and thus was done rarely. Dealing with the cord and having to make several passes was dreadful. This tool makes the job fast, simple and easy. It pairs well with the 80v blower for cleanup. Depending on yard size, you can likely get through both tasks on one battery. But I'm glad I got another battery with this to help keep the blower going when the leaves come down this fall. Well done Greenworks!
