Too loud

I switched to this toothbrush from a different electric toothbrush (Burst) because I have super sensitive teeth and very thin enamel. This toothbrush is advertised as being good for enamel protection which is why I bought it, but the toothbrush heads are actually a little bit firmer from the toothbrush I switched from. It has a sensor to tell you if you're pressing too hard (which was a selling point for me) but it only ever alerted me if I was intentionally pressing incredibly hard to see if the sensor even worked... The toothbrush is also SO LOUD, it sounds like a helicopter. It was effective in cleaning my teeth but I've gone back to my previous toothbrush because this one is so loud and the other toothbrush has softer bristles that I think are gentler on my sad enamel deficient teeth.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're disappointed to hear you didn't enjoy this brush. We always want our brushes to give you an incredible clean, so this isn't the result we expect. For a quieter and softer feel, we recommend using this brush on the Sensitive cleaning mode with our Sensitive Gum Care brush heads. If you have any questions or would like to share more, please don't hesitate to give us a call at (800) 566-7252.
Bought this at the recommendation of a family member who is a dentist and immediately noticed an amazing difference! My teeth feel so much cleaner and I love the polishing feature!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the most shiny and clean teeth after switching to this tooth brush. I don't know why I didn't make the change earlier. This tooth brush gives me the best clean and leaves my mouth feeling fresh. I think my teeth have become whiter since I started to use this brush.
Disclaimer- I’m coming from using a high end oral B e-toothbrush. I got this for Xmas 2021 and no complaints at first-just your average electric toothbrush. But the battery had to be recharged in less than 2 weeks which is sad. Think of how much more your phone/laptop does and the battery life of it. Moreover, I went over the recommended time of replacing the head and found mold inside the head. The design is not good. I’m constantly cleaning where I put it down after using it which I never had to do on my other e brushes. The head prices are also unbelievably high. If you still go through with this purchase(I recommend not) it’s difficult to find the right heads from someone other than oral-B without getting the wrong size.

Will, we're very sorry you had this experience with the Oral B Smart 1500. The buildup you found in the brush head is likely from regular use, especially if you use an abrasive toothpaste. Even if rinsed after each use, residual toothpaste can harden over time and form a black, brown, orangish/tan, pink or grey, chalk-like coating on the metal shaft of the handle, the rubber, or in the joints and other places including on the charger. Toothpaste and/or water may also collect on the brush head, handle or on the surface of the charger, leaving a residue. This buildup may be colored depending on your toothpaste and water hardness. In either case, this substance is not harmful and can be removed with a thorough cleaning. To prevent this in the future do a thorough rinse following the recommendation in your manual. Including the handle and wiping the charger. If you have questions, or if we can help you with anything please give us a call at (800) 566-7252.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am SO happy i bought this it made my teeth 10xs better than crappy cheap nonelectric toothbrushes I LOVE oral b and I would recommend you, anyone, to get any toothbrush off this site.
I bought the Smart 1500 three weeks ago after our previous Oral-B's battery died after seven years. This new one cleans my teeth well, but its features bring down its rating. The power button is recessed, making it difficult to find by feel. I have to look in the mirror to see it to change speeds or turn it off. It's also not as ergonomic as my last brush; it's a straight cylinder rather than a curved one with a rubber grip in the middle, making it more difficult to hold firmly. Finally, its weight is not concentrated at or near the bottom, making it susceptible to falling over on the counter. Despite those issues, I'll keep using it, as it does what it was designed to do.
