I bought this dish 6 months ago. I use it multiple times per week. I now understand the importance of good quality, heat retaining cookware. Food really does cook evenly and it crisps beautifully if you want to go that route with higher heat.

I love the Staub cast iron line baking dishes for their versatility and great looks! Just a personal preference for family and friend gatherings. I like how they look on the table, and how easily they go from the oven to the table. These are good for hot, cold, and room temperate dishes and are so easy to clean!

This is the perfect serving dish for casseroles, gratins, and ratatouille recipes. I love the heritage look of the handles on this baking dish. With it being cast iron, it does a great job heating well and being versatile where it can go from stove to oven to table to fridge. A great dish to have for serving great meals.

This 7.5" round gratin baking dish is perfect gratin dish. Can also be used from frying an eggs, browning minced garlic, melting butter, individual served spinach cheese dip, caramelizing sugar, baking and etc. Requires no seasoning and works on all stove tops.
Black matte enamel inside and cooking surface creates a culinary advantage for better browning, braising, and roasting.

As you expect from a Staub- the innovative black matte interior heats quickly, evenly and will release food with ease. I like the size and shape of this dish. I use it for scalloped potatoes and creamy chicken and vegetables dishes. The shape and angle of the handles
