The handle cam lock broke! Yes bent and broke, and I cannot find the replacement on their website. I see a very similar one on their Canadian website, but it does not ship to the USA.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery life is poor

Needs two batteries to get through a half-acre yard. Unless I want to wait several hours to recharge every time I mow (I don't) I'll need two batteries (meant investing hundreds more dollars, almost like buying a second mower). So I bought a second battery after the first three mows this Spring and we aren't even to May yet when the grass gets plush. I don't even have a "lawn". I have a "yard" with lots of violets and clover and such, so it's not that plush to begin with. So, I'm disappointed that this is such an expensive investment and that when these batteries eventually give out it will again be very expensive to keep this thing going.
Also the charger emits a loud, high-pitched sound that is annoying - not at all like the chargers for my chainsaw, hedge trimmer or other electric tools. Go figure.

Grass height, grass type, mulching, and operators’ technique etc. Uneven ground, trees, bushes, and other obstacles on your lawn can significantly decrease the amount of area you can mow effectively with each pass. Your mowing pattern and technique can also impact on how much area you can cover each time. If your lawn has significant challenges, you might need a mower with features better suited for your specific conditions.
Greenworks 60V batteries are backed by a four-year warranty, from the date of purchase. The rate of the battery degradation depends on how well the battery is maintained. There are different variables to consider when giving an adequate answer. In optimal conditions batteries should keep most of their charge to about 2000 full cycles: 1000 with a rapid charger. The charger fan is essential to maintain the battery's health by preventing excessive heat buildup during rapid charging. A noticeable fan noise is considered normal for most high-power battery chargers. They will shut down once it senses the internal battery thermometer is room temperature (so possibly not as soon as charging is complete – depends on battery temperature). If the fan suddenly becomes significantly louder than usual, please start a Live chat on www.greenworkstools.com or call Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline 1-855-345-3934. Excellent Push Mower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for 1 season so far and I love this mower and the string trimmer. Very straightforward to use, battery recharges pretty quickly. Adjusting the deck height is easy with the touch of the lever instead of the traditional setup. The Turbo mode is a nice feature and the auto kickup is great, too. It is to be expected when hitting tall thick patches of grass, it will pull more battery life. If your yard is larger than a ¼ acre, you may need an extra battery. Especially if the grass is tall. The implements are straightforward, too. The mulcher, bagger, or side discharge are quick changes. Makes the mowing experience much easier for versatility. Servicing the blade for the most part is easy, just one thing to bare in mind is to make sure when reinstalling the blade you have it seated all the way on the adapter. You'll know quick that it isn't right. I love this mower.
