Perfect except the all black buttons and ability to manually find them

I have bought 2 of these- one for me and one for my 86 year old mother. The 5 star rating still applies for what it does (blue tooth pairing, noise cancellation, excellent sound, helpful for air travel), but the jury is still out on whether this works well enough for someone (my mom) with limited eyesight and dexterity. The all black buttons are difficult to find/navigate. I am thinking about painting the middle button with yellow fabric paint or glueing a small button as someone on this thread mentioned. But- still happy with the product and not complaining about its value and usefulness!

System failure

These were pretty good for the price...for a while. The headband cracked in half after about six months and they always fit loosely after that but still worked.
But after a little more than a year (so out of warranty) while wearing them on a phone call they started issuing a horrendously loud intermittent electronic buzz, about 2 seconds on and 3 seconds off. When I try to connect them to an audio source the buzz is almost continuous. It's loud enough to damage hearing if they are on my head when it happens. Laying on the table you can hear it in the next room.
I've tried restarting, un-pairing and re-pairing, 20 second power button reset, nothing works. They appear to just be shot. Very disappointing as I'd hoped to get at least a few more months out of them before the cracked headband rendered them unwearable.
Not sure what I'll replace them with but given the prior pair from Monoprice also fell apart in less than a year I'll probably look elsewhere this time.

Useful but not for all activities

These are my first noise-cancelling headphones, so wasn't sure what to expect of them. Have tried them during various loud activities like cutting grass, chain sawing & using shop-vac. They definitely reduce noise, but are not as effective as a good set of passive ear protectors for really loud activities. I don't think they'd hold up well to the abuse of repeatedly taking on & off and sweating, etc you get with such activities. They are less bulky than passive protectors, so they could be useful for other situations such as on an airplane.

I use these to mow my lawn and they do exactly what they advertised. Clear sound and the sound of my lawn tractor does not affect the noise canceling feature

It took me a little while to figure out exact how to pair with my iPad and I need more details about how to preventing over charging. Great sound for the money especially since I have a hearing impaired. I would buy them again again.
