Howdy Kaps, Thanks for taking the available time out of your busy day to share your thoughts with us about your Samsung Galaxy Watch5. We appreciate your candor as we make every effort to improve the design and functionality of our product line. Our goal is for our customers to feel like they are having the most ideal experiences while using our products. Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, linked below. There are several reasons why your Galaxy Watch may be experiencing battery drain or have decreased battery life. For example, certain apps can increase battery consumption. Your Galaxy Watch5 and the Galaxy Watch4 models come with their own power saving mode. When enabled, this mode will limit several options in order to save battery life, such as Always On Display, Wi-Fi, and screen brightness. You can also turn on Watch only mode. Check out the articles I have linked below titled, "Reduced battery life on your Samsung smart watch" and "Keep your Samsung smart watch running in top shape" for some great tips on getting the most out of your Galaxy Watch5's battery. Feel free to contact Samsung Support if you would like any further assistance and/or help with troubleshooting your Galaxy Watch5.Thank you for being a valued Samsung customer. - Debra
I returned the watch and went back to my 3-year-old Garmin Vivoactive 3. My main disappointment was the battery life; I really had to plan to charge it almost daily. Smart-watch features are more advanced, but nothing in 2 weeks of use was that useful. The inability to do EKG without a Samsung phone was a disappointment - I have a pixel. While I liked the autodetect riding activity feature it was buggy - did not work every time, stopped in the middle of the ride etc.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For more information on this topic, "Samsung smart watch and phone compatibility" is a great resource to take a look at when you have some free time, linked below. When you do an impromptu workout, you may forget to activate an exercise tracker on your smart watch or fitness band. To fix this, just turn on automatic workout detection. It will automatically start recording your exercise data when you start working out. Be sure to check out, "Use automatic workout detection on your Samsung smart watch" for some quick tips on enabling this feature in the future. Sensors are a vast improvement over the GW3 but if you're use to dialing through screens with a physical bezel and having the looks of a mechanical watch then you may be dismayed. Scroll through screens by touch is a mess.

Great watch. Upgraded from Active 2 that I have had for 5 yrs. It was was still a great watch and I still have it activated. I just wanted an upgrade. Got a great price and am very happy thus far. I have many Samsung devices and appliances and have always been very satisfied. Customer service is great, quality cannot be beat, and value is excellent. Will continue a long relationship with Samsung.
