[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to have an HP Stream a long time ago. While it gave out after 2 years (understandable because it had a very small RAM storage), it still worked excellently as far as speed and function. However, I am in my 2nd month of using this HP Stream, and I am having the worst experiences getting this laptop to load. Maybe I have just gotten too used to the high-speed, high-functioning Chromebook because this HP Stream pales in comparison. I have had many updates, one right after the other, that I continuously have to manually restart for computer for. Whenever I try to clear cache files/free space, it gets stuck on one big file for so long that I don't think it is actually clearing anything and instead wasting my time. It also has the hardest time loading the simplest tools like the Wifi, battery life, or even settings. I think I'll have to take a whole weekend to try and clear unnecessary files and all the pre-downloaded apps and see if it helps.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
