I found H&R Block tax software to be similar to Turbo Tax. I think it was better in its navigation to different sections and some of the adding of information to tax forms/schedules was better. The area of difficulty for me was in the automatic upload of a K1 form. Where the program put all the data from the K1 seemed to confuse the program when it came to the final reconciliation. I spent a lot of time trying to fix it.

No reasonable improvements yet price keeps going up. Very poor stock download capabilities. Often gets hung up or fails thus requiring you to manually enter thousands of transactions. No back button that brings you back to what you were working on after it changes focus
Cons: Hard to import documents

I was very satisfied with the tax software. However, for tax year 2025 the software did not interface with Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Therefore, I could not upload the 1099 from this vendor which is one of the largest in the country. Never had issues with uploading Merrill Lynch in prior years.

Cons: Hard to import documents

I downloaded the program but was not useable until 10 April. I was out of town. I filed on 13 April. I checked on the status of my federal refund on 26 April, when I learned there was another update. I downloaded it but it did not affect my files. What a relief!
