I understand it’s a huge undertaking to cover everything but I had trouble with the help. Some things were not covered good enough. With that being said, I would and have recommended this tax software. I will also buy it again just like I have for the last 15 years.

Reasonable behavior for the price. However, the Interview approach was not very intuitive in entering Gas/Oil well royalties in the Miscellaneous income worksheet. In particular for multiple 1099-Misc royalties to enter, references to Copy 1, 2, etc as a first time user were found to be confusing. On-going instructional language to Rental income rather than Royalty Income was somewhat troubling.
When errors were flagged in the review, appropriate correction actions were not obvious, perhaps due to the above mentioned Rental Income language versus the more appropriate Mineral Royalty language.

I had issues with car depreciation. You provided no support for the issue and worse yet I couldn't easily get to the form used to fill out the depreciation schedule, nor could I fill it out on the form. I wasted almost an hour correcting three items that should have taken less than 5 minutes.

I have used H&R Block Software for years and I find my tax preparation experience less stressful than before.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

Pretty simple and orderly interface. After 10 years, have always had submissions accepted with no issues. I only have W2s and 1099s and stock transactions, so have a very simple return. Only negatives are when it asks to check items, there is very little explanation as to why the number is suspect.
Pros: Easy to prepare

Great until the very last step then: "Unfortunately, you won't be able to e-file your return. This is because the calculation for the premium tax credit (Form 8962, line 24) and the self-employed health insurance deduction (Form 1040, Schedule 1, line 17) use the iterative method"
