There was a glitch in this years program. There was no fix except to print and mail . I ended up having to buy Turbo Tax and use that program.
It worked better and I was able to efile. I have used HR block for more than 10 years. This has happened once before . I may be switching to TurboTax next year .

i have the feeling that the numbers are not accurate. For example, i own two properties and the net income and loss are the same values, which is wrong.

I have relatively easy taxes each year. But this year, I sold a home and needed to do extra calculations for that. The software walked me thru each step to see if I owed capital gains. I like that the help gives you succinct yet complete descriptions of items along with examples of what does and does not apply.

I have been using this software for many years. It is a very good software. However, I wish the planning for the next year included a list or a spreadsheet of the different expense categories that would be needed for the next year.

Unable to submit or efile federal return. Error message is not useful. I tried reaching support but no response/assistance available. Error code says enter IPP and i have done that but still same error.

It has been awhile since I did my own taxes, but HR Block has always been my go-to program. This year, however, I was disappointed with the state program for MA being a partial year resident. I had to go into the forms and manually override amounts that had been brought over from my federal forms - per the program instructions. After doing so things still didn't seem right - and after doing some more investigating and reading the actual forms, I ended up having to override most of the income fields to accurately report what I earned while in MA. Had I not been paying attention, this would have cost me several thousand dollars.
