We had starred with the online version, and got so frustrated we gave up and bought this download version. It worked much better for our needs and there was not the constant upselling.
There were still a few problems with a K-1 form that this version couldn't handle
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been a satisfied user for over 20 yrs. This year I added an LLC and was told I needed to do a 1065 & a K1. I ended up going to a local office where one of your advisors it on the right track. Unfortunately last year didn't complete online filing properly. Fixed issue by filing 2024 & 2025 by mail along with request for new id PIN
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming

We had to type in hundreds of trades individually because the software download mixed up trades within different accounts. What should have taken an hour actually took 3 days.

Where is Merrill Lynch in the imports for 1099? This is ridiculous that it was removed. I will not buy this software again. I have been a customer for 20 years.

Failed to generate the second page of Form 8949. Form 1116 Line 3e did not include the Long Term gains from Form 8949 second page. Form 1116 Schedule B did not generate, nor did the download of last years file pick up the carryover. Had I not caught this I would have had an incorrect IRS submission. Otherwise uploads and data entry were easy.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
