I've been using H&R Block software for 15 years. The quality of the product seems to have declined in recent years, and I ran across a couple of significant bugs this year.
The software made an error on my state tax return, characterizing my inherited IRA death distribution as taxable (they are not taxable in my state). Fortunately, I caught the error soon after filing and was able to file an amended return. On a return for a family member, the software imported a 1099 from Schwab incorrectly.

Pretty disappointed overall. Makes me wonder if I missed out on deductions in years past due to software bugs.

I received the software in November and used it in March. It would have been better if I had a choice which software package to buy instead of being sent one. My package did not work on MLPs and had multiple issues at the end of the day. Rest of software worked great.

I've used your tax software for years and it continues to work well, in general. I hope there aren't any errors in it as I clearly entered my W-2 information in the software, then after submitting my taxes discovered that the printout showed ZERO W-2 income on that line on the form. What's up with that???? If the IRS comes back to audit/correct that, I'm certainly looking for you to explain it to them!

My biggest gripe is there’s no avenue to give feedback on the program in real time. The software had a glitch importing my previous year’s returns. Never happened before but I figured out it was an ‘&’ in the file name. On another form, it reversed the insertion of the custodial parent with the non-custodial parent. Had to print a blank form from the IRS since it could not be solved. Could not find any way to give this feedback. I’ve used the software for years and this had the most bugs ever.
