Software is good. But frustrated that can't efile with it due to some pass thru something - software doesn't explain what it is why you can't efile. So frustrating. No real support - just AI help. If you know what to do you are fine.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming

I used H&R Block tax software because it was easy to download data from last year's return (also done with H&R Block). But there were numerous steps in the actual process that were unclear. For example, I ended up downloading data from my brokerage house twice and had to carefully delete duplicates. I inherited an IRA from my husband who inherited it from his mother. I wasn't sure how to handle it, so I queried the AI help system. Turns out the AI response contradicted what I finally had to enter to bypass an alert.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It would be higher as I have liked using your software for the last decade but because of a 'shortcoming' I had several failed state efiles, had to wait on hold and waste over an hour talking to your support and had to file an amended Federal return so the state would go through.

While it works for the most part, there are limitation in this software. For example, this software is not friendly to file for seniors who have retired and only have social security. Application does not allow for taxable income of 0 for 1040-SR. It also does not allow electronic filing if my W-2 shows employer subsidized in box 10.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
