sold a second home this year and had a hard time understanding how to document this on the program. perhaps a more descriptive set of questions pr directions would have made this easier....otherwise, this is much easier than turbotax which I had used for years

you got me through my taxes but the software is not so easy as I'd like. State return is particularly vague. and paying to file for the state seems very unfair. I pay my taxes; why should I pay to allow me to pay?

Entering K1 info on a federal return leaves a lot to be desired. No help at all.

I decided to use this instead of TurboTax. It worked out OK, but I had to do it three times before I got it correct.

Overall it is ok. However, it has a bug that if one has more than 8 non cash items to claim, the sw only generates 2 sets of forms of 8232 causing any items beyond 8 dropped. It is there at least for 2024 and 2025.

I’ve used H&R Block tax software for about ten year now. The latest version for 2025 taxes worked very smoothly. At one point I had a question about applying a refund to next years taxes, seemed simple, but the normal Help and the AI Help did not provide an answer. I eventually found the information. Some of the Help responses were not updated for 2025, showing the year 2024.
Pros: Easy to prepare

I started using this tax software when it was Taxcut and have continued every year since, It makes it so easy to carry over previous years data and update and add new for the current year, The questionnaire and help screens makes keeping up with changes in tax law easy. E-filing is easy and fast. I have never been audited since using the software however having H&R Block available if necessary is a great feature.
